Universal Studios Hollywood has officially unleashed the final wave of its 2025 Halloween Horror Nights lineup, and horror fans are in for a wild, scream-filled ride. The latest announcement brings Poltergeist, The Purge, and a massive Blumhouse takeover into the mix, rounding out an already stacked slate of haunted attractions.
The Poltergeist-themed haunted house will plunge guests straight into the iconic nightmare. Organizers promise it will “transport guests into nightmarish scenes with terrifying characters from the movie,” complete with the eerie suburban home from the original film — built atop a cemetery, haunted by a paranormal TV, and hiding a portal to another dimension.
Over on the historic backlot, Terror Tram: Enter the Blumhouse will twist the Studio Tour into a full-on horror gauntlet. Halfway through the ride, guests will hop off the tram to come face-to-face with Blumhouse’s most terrifying villains, including The Grabber from The Black Phone, the possessed from The Exorcist: Believer, the masked killers from The Purge franchise, and yes — M3GAN will be there too.
Fans can also grab a themed photo op before moving on. Those splurging on the R.I.P. Tour will score an exclusive meet-and-greet with select Terror Tram characters.
The Purge: Dangerous Waters stunt show will also return, this time promising to take guests “on a fiery, rocket-fueled adventure while they fight to survive the night” inside the WaterWorld arena.
Adding to the chaos, four scare zones will be scattered across the park: the Chainsaw Clownz crew, a bloody Carnival of Carnage, a sinister street leading to the Noche de Brujas zone, and the returning Murder of Crowz.
These new horrors join an already announced lineup that includes haunted houses inspired by Prime Video’s Fallout, Blumhouse’s Five Nights at Freddy’s, the Terrifier films, WWE Presents: The Horrors of The Wyatt Sicks, Jason Universe, Scarecrow: Music by Slash, and Monstruos 3: The Ghosts of Latin America.
Some of the park’s biggest rides will also be open during the event, including Super Nintendo World, Jurassic World — The Ride, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Transformers: The Ride-3D, Revenge of the Mummy — The Ride, and The Simpsons Ride.
Halloween Horror Nights 2025 kicks off Thursday, September 4, and runs select nights through Sunday, November 2. Prepare to scream.
