The Mighty Nein is bringing a new band of unlikely heroes to Prime Video this fall. The official trailer for the dark fantasy series from Critical Role and Titmouse debuted during the “Critical Role & Prime Video: A Decade of Adventure and The Animated World of Exandria” panel at New York Comic Con 2025, giving fans their first look at the edgy new chapter in the Exandria universe. The series is set to premiere on November 19 in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The trailer introduces viewers to a mismatched group of fugitives and outcasts described as “a homeless wizard,” “an inebriated goblin,” “a shipwrecked sailor,” “a cocky ringmaster,” “a temperamental monk,” and “chaos incarnate.” Together, they make up the Mighty Nein, a party bound by secrets and scars. When a dangerous arcane relic known as “The Beacon” falls into the wrong hands, this unlikely team must work together to save the realm and stop reality itself from unraveling.
The panel brought together Critical Role founders and series stars Laura Bailey, Matthew Mercer, Marisha Ray, Liam O’Brien, Ashley Johnson, Taliesin Jaffe, Sam Riegel, and Travis Willingham to celebrate a decade of storytelling. Attendees got an exclusive look at the trailer, behind-the-scenes insight into the making of the series, and early teases of Campaign Four of the flagship Critical Role show. In addition to the main cast, Prime Video also announced a stacked guest voice lineup for the series. Joining the adventure are Anjelica Huston, Lucy Liu, Nathan Fillion, T’Nia Miller, Felicia Day, Graham McTavish, and Ivanna Sakhno.
A Band of Outcasts Faces a World-Ending Threat
The panel also featured major updates for The Legend of Vox Machina. Wayne Brady will appear in Season 4 as Taryon Darrington, alongside additional guest stars Kevin Michael Richardson, Debra Wilson, and Tom Cardy. Fans were treated to exclusive clips from the upcoming season as the franchise continues to expand its animated footprint.
The Mighty Nein is a production of Amazon MGM Studios, Critical Role, and Titmouse for Prime Video. The Critical Role cast serves as both executive producers and voice actors, with Tasha Huo serving as showrunner. Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina also executive produce.
With its darker tone, stacked cast, and high-fantasy stakes, The Mighty Nein promises to deliver one of Critical Role’s most ambitious adventures yet when it premieres on November 19 exclusively on Prime Video.
