The Actress’s Divorce From Keith Urban

Just about a week ago, the 58-year-old Oscar-winning actress filed for divorce from her husband of 19 years in a Nashville court, stating in the document that their marriage had undergone “marital difficulties and irreconcilable differences.”
The pair have previously raised eyebrows with the time spent apart, coupled with Kidman’s solo living arrangements, with an insider sharing that they’ve been living apart “since the beginning of summer.”
Apparently, she tried to keep the glue in their marriage and was credited for “holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone,” but that seemingly fell off before she decided to throw in the towel.

“Sometimes relationships just run their course,” a source told Page Six. “[Nicole] did not want the separation and was trying to save things.”
However, she has since accepted that it’s a done deal and is understood to be moving forward.
“She’s sad and moving on with her life — and making sure her kids are taken care of,” the insider said.
The Country Singer’s Actions Allegedly Left Nicole Kidman ‘Reliving Her Split’ From Tom Cruise

Since Kidman filed for divorce, Urban has exhibited some eyebrow-raising behavior, including when he sparked outrage by changing the lyrics to a song he wrote about his estranged actress wife to serenade his guitarist, Maggie Baugh.
Reports claim that the country music star is in a relationship with a younger woman, with insiders saying that’s the news all over Nashville.
Sources have also shared that Urban’s actions have caused Kidman to “relive her split” from actor Tom Cruise.
“Keith looks as if he’s out to try to publicly embarrass and hurt Nic,” a source told the Daily Mail. “This is a total 180 from the Keith I know. It seems like a switch has gone off in his head to awaken this vitriol he appears to have for her.”

“I feel so bad for Nic. It’s like she’s reliving her split from Tom [Cruise] all over again,” another insider told the news outlet, comparing it to when the “Top Gun” actor filed for divorce in 2001, two months after their 10th anniversary.
Keith Urban Didn’t Like Nicole Kidman’s Movie

Although the former couple is yet to make a statement about their divorce, insiders have already pointed out what may have led to their split.
According to Page Six, a source shared that Urban didn’t like Kidman’s sexually explicit movie “Babygirl,” which was released last year.
Looking back now, the country music icon was absent as his estranged wife debuted the film at the Venice Film Festival in August last year.
He also wasn’t present to support her when it opened at the Toronto Film Festival that September.
“Keith didn’t like the film, and he didn’t even like Nicole promoting the movie,” a source claimed.
In the movie, Kidman stars as a powerful CEO who began frolicking with her intern as she was unsatisfied with her sex life with her husband.

The Singer Hung Up On A Radio Station After Being Asked About The Actress

Another source said Urban feared he would be mocked over Kidman’s racy role in “Babygirl,” which seemed to be the case when he shunned questions about her starring in films with younger men.
As reported by The Blast, on one occasion, the singer ended a phone chat with a radio station after Kidman’s steamy performance was mentioned.
“What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio?” host Max Burford asked; however, he got no response due to an abrupt end of the call.
“I think his team hung up on us because they didn’t want us to ask that question,” the producer added. “He’s gone, see you, Keith.”
