Lamar Jackson Slapped By NFL Fan During Game, Reflects on Shoving Them Back in Now-Viral Moment

Lamar Jackson, the fan favorite quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens, got into an altercation with an attendee at the Sunday Night Football game on Sunday (September 7).

If you don’t know, Lamar and the Ravens suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Buffalo Bills in the final minutes of the game. Throughout the four quarters, the Ravens had a lead, and one memorable touchdown led to the incident.

The overzealous attendee could be seen on camera grabbing at Lamar and making contact, seemingly slapping or shoving him as he walked by. Lamar then pushed the audience member.

Now, he’s speaking out about the incident.

“He slapped me, and he was talking…so, I just forgot where I was for a little bit. You have to think in those situations. You have security out there; let security handle it. But I just let my emotions get the best of me,” Lamar told ESPN after the game. “Hopefully, it doesn’t happen again. I learned from that.”

About interacting with fans in the future, he declared, “I’ve never seen our fans do that. So, I’ll probably do it again when we score a touchdown. It’s not nothing against the fans. I’m just celebrating when my teammates get a touchdown.”

By the way, the person in question was ejected from the game.

The Bills won the game 41-40 due to a last minute field goal scored by replacement kicker Matt Prater, who just joined the team this past week.
