Hailey addressed Brittney‘s video on her Instagram story.
“Hey guys I’ve been tagged in a lot of videos of [Brittney] saying I ‘replaced her’ in Chad Powers, I’ve been in contact with her and we’re cool. I wasn’t aware the role had been filled prior,” she wrote.
The Tennessee native says she received a call about appearing in the show and agreed to it because “duh it’s Glen Powell,” but wasn’t aware that it was a recast.
“I wasn’t made aware this was happening and it was in no way malicious at all. I actually love her content and think she is a funny and sweet girl,” Hailey concluded.
Brittney‘s video shows her watching the scene and freaking out as she realizes she was replaced “with Hawk Tuah.”
“They were not in the scene! They were not in the scene!” Then she says “Chernobyl” right before Glen‘s character says it on-screen. “Chernobyl! I say that, that’s my f—ing scene!”
Brittney later shared her own Instagram story in response to Hailey‘s, saying that she’s not upset at her.
She wrote, “I hope one day she will teach me how to spit on that thang,” referencing the interview that made Hailey famous.
